To prepare a reading and to communicate with you, we collect:

• Identity — your full name as you wish to be addressed.
• Contact — your email address and (optionally) your phone number for WhatsApp / call.
• Birth data — date, time, and place of birth. This is the heart of the chart.
• Intake notes — whatever you choose to write to us about your question. You decide what to share.

We do not collect or store payment-card data — see “Payments” below.

Birth data (date, time, place of birth) is highly sensitive — it identifies you uniquely and, in the wrong hands, could be misused. We treat birth data with the same care a physician treats health records: it is collected only with your consent, used only for the reading you booked, never shared, and retained only for the retention period stated below.

Your data is used solely for:

• Preparing and delivering the reading you booked.
• Communicating with you about your appointment — confirmations, scheduling, follow-up questions, delivery of the report.
• Issuing a receipt and meeting Indian tax / accounting obligations.
• Responding to your direct requests (access, correction, deletion, support).

We do not use your data for: advertising, marketing beyond optional newsletter (opt-in only), profiling, automated decision-making, or training AI models.

The current architecture is deliberately minimal. We do not run a separate user database. Your data lives in two places:

• Razorpay payment notes— your name, email, phone, and birth data are attached to the payment order as “notes”. Razorpay is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified Indian payment processor. See Razorpay's privacy policy.
• Email inbox— the booking confirmation, any conversation with you, and the delivered report live in the house's email account (hello@lunarluxury.in) and your own inbox.

We do not maintain analytics that identify you personally. If you consent to analytics (see Cookies below), only anonymised, aggregated traffic data is collected via Plausible — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers.

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your data with any third party for any purpose, with two narrow exceptions:

• Razorpay — to process your payment (data minimum required for the transaction).
• Legal compliance — if compelled by a valid Indian legal order (court summons, tax authority). We will notify you in writing unless the order forbids it.

All payments are processed by Razorpay. The house never sees, nor stores, your card number, CVV, UPI handle, or banking credentials. Razorpay tokenises the transaction; we receive only a payment confirmation and a payment reference ID.

Standard retention: 24 months from the date of your last engagement. After 24 months your birth data and intake notes are deleted from our active records.

Indian tax law requires us to retain payment + invoice records for 8 years; these records contain your name and amount paid, but not birth data.

You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India) and best-effort GDPR alignment, you have the right to:

• Access — ask what data we hold about you, in writing, free of charge once a year.
• Correction — fix any error in your data (e.g. birth time).
• Deletion — request erasure of your data subject to legal-retention exceptions (payment records).
• Withdrawal of consent — stop any future processing.
• Grievance — raise a complaint with us first; if unresolved within 30 days, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these, write to hello@lunarluxury.in from the email on file. We reply within seven (7) days.

The house uses no third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We use a single privacy-respecting analytics tool — Plausible — which does not set cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not collect any personal data. It loads only after you consent via the cookie banner.

We store a single localStorage key (ll-cookie-consent) to remember your choice. You may clear it from your browser at any time.

The house works only with adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Charts for minors are read only at the written request of the parent or legal guardian.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are flagged on the homepage and the “last updated” date at the foot of this page is revised. We will not retroactively reduce the protections that applied when you booked.
